Mrs. Ruth Anderson

 

A founding member ofBLR, Ruth retired from the Rochester City School  District and now heads Akwaaba: The Heritage Associates, an educational  organization promoting the history of Afro-Rochester. Ruth received a  BA degree from Oberlin College and MS degree from Nazareth College in  Reading Education. Ruth joined the Geva theater board in 1998 and she is a long  time member of AKOMA, the African American Women’s Gospel Choir.
